This final shot shows the eye/bill, the legs and the mantle colour comparison almost 3 months after our first sighting of the bird.

We can probably rule out HG (Agenteus or Argentatus) based on mantle colour, head streaking (on earlier shots), leg colour, eye and orbital ring colour and primary wing tip pattern.

It is unlikely to be a LBB given the colour of the mantle.


It looks a choice between a YLG Michahellis (but not a Cachinnans - P10 is not right) or a hybrid (either a HG/LBB hybrid - known to exist in West Wales, a HG/YLG type hybrid or other?).
