Wryneck
This image was shot at Lavernock, near Cardiff, in late September. Lol Middleton, spotted the bird which originally was perched in the bushes (final shot). Thanks to Lol for spotting it!!
Exact location was in the hedge at the eastern side of the first field on the left when walking from Lavernock Church towards Penarth.
It hopped down from the bushes and spent a good half hour eating ants on the ground. This is the second occasion Lol has seen a Wryneck in this location in the past week.
