These images were shot at Lavernock, near Cardiff, in late September. Lol Middleton, spotted the bird which originally was perched in the bushes (final shot).
Exact location was in the hedge at the northern side of the first field on the left when walking from Lavernock Church towards Penarth.
It hopped down from the bushes and spent a good half hour eating ants on the ground. This is the second occasion Lol has seen a Wryneck in this location in the past week.
